Become an Advocate
What is an Undaunted Advocate?
Advocates are the heart and core of our mission. They are passionate about creating lasting relationships with the individuals we serve. They are the ‘boots on the ground’ volunteers, connecting with the client and doing initial and periodic client assessments, then collaborating with teams as necessary to provide wrap-around support for clients as they identify their personal barriers to self-reliance. A successful advocate will have high emotional intelligence and soft skills, such as the ability to tactfully ask questions. Being an advocate requires training (which Undaunted Women will provide, no cost) and a 12-month commitment. For more information about being an advocate, see our advocacy training manual.
